Vellum Aurelia began with a single question: what happens if a house builds fewer pieces than it could sell, on purpose, forever?
Built on restraint.
Most houses grow by making more. We chose the opposite — a fixed number of pieces, a fixed date, and a standard that does not bend to either.
A family workshop, generations deep
Our leather is cut and stitched in a workshop built on a family's craft, where techniques are still passed hand to hand rather than written down.
One edition, no repeats
Every Vellum Aurelia edition is built once. When it is complete, the pattern is retired — never reissued, never replicated.
Edition I, presented privately
Our first release is shown only by private appointment ahead of its December 20, 2026 debut. Full details are shared during that appointment.
Three quiet rules.
Full-grain, nothing corrected
We use only full-grain hide with its natural markings intact — never sanded, printed, or corrected to hide its origin.
Hand-stitched, not machine-set
Every seam is saddle-stitched by hand with waxed linen thread, a slower method that holds long after a machine seam gives way.
Numbered, never anonymous
Each piece carries its own number and, in time, its own record — a piece you can trace back to the hands that made it.
Struck once, by hand.
Every piece carries this mark, pressed into the leather itself rather than stamped onto a label. It is not decoration. It is the atelier's signature, and it does not appear twice on the same piece.
What it represents in full is shared with those who hold an appointment — the rest, like everything here, is for a private conversation, not a page.
